This piece has been specially produced for the exhibition Repetition - Paintwork 3 The Fall. Seen as a companion to The 2008 Fall Albums League, it aims to give context to the declaration that The Fall are a 'Salford band' (that is, not Manchester). Mark E. Smith's cultural origins are underlined by these lyrics of John Cooper Clarke, the Bard of Salford. Two iconoclasts, one town.
